Did Freddie Mercury have a daughter? Mysterious "B" is working on a biography of the legendary musician.

Freddie Mercury's artistic and personal history has been the subject of numerous publications. A book titled "Love, Freddie: Freddie Mercury's Secret Life and Love" will be released in September, shedding light on previously unknown facts about the Queen frontman's life. In addition to author Lesley-Ann Jones, a woman identified only as "B," the singer's alleged daughter, was also involved in the project. Meanwhile, those close to Mercury still doubt he had a daughter.

As described by The Guardian, the woman claiming to be the singer's daughter was born in 1976, the result of an affair between the singer and the wife of a close friend . B claims that Mercury entrusted her with 17 diaries covering the last years of his life, which, according to the author, are "the closest thing to a Freddie Mercury autobiography the world will ever know."

"Freddie Mercury was and is my father. We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and for the last 15 years of his life. He adored me and was devoted to me," writes B, who is known only to be a doctor living in Europe, in a handwritten letter.

Close friends of the artist, however, are skeptical of these claims, as no one knew of the existence of Mercury's daughter. Queen guitarist Brian May was asked about this issue. Although he preferred to remain neutral, he indicated that his wife, Anita Dobson, did not believe the narrative. Mary Austin , a close friend of the artist who inherited about half of his fortune, also did not know of the existence of the singer's daughter.

"Freddie was remarkably open, and I can't imagine him wanting or being able to keep such a joyful event a secret from me or anyone close to him, " Austin told the Sunday Times. "The truth is, I'm simply not a keeper of such a secret. I never knew any child or knew of the diaries. If Freddie had actually had a child and I didn't know, it would be astonishing to me," she added.

According to the book's author, a DNA test was conducted, which confirmed B's credibility. Another factor in her favor is the fact that the musician's relatives are unable to definitively refute this story.
